Mini-invasive plasty of the mitral valve

The long term objective of this project is to be able to realize in a minimally invasive way plasties of the mitral valve, on a beating heart, using a robot under echographic control. This very ambitious project, named GABIE, is part of a French robotic research program ROBEA from CNRS. In this context, the GMCAO team activity concerns real-time echographic image segmentation, modelling of the mitral valve movements, echographic plane modelling and feasibility of magnetic localization.
