Modélisation Et Simulation de Systèmes Biologiques Complexes Par Un Modèle Physique

Abstract

(in french)As, in general, cellular biology processes are difficult to study, I present a tool to simulate them. So, I have considered the information exchanged between cells and the cellular global answers (distortion, migration and cellular differentiation). My approach is physical and is based on Phymul, a library written in C++. This library allows to simulate the movement and the deformation of 3D physical objects. In my case, these objects are ranked as cells.First of all, I chose a solver of ordinary differential equations (ODE) in accordance with certain criteria. Changes have been made to program the differential system representing the biological problem. I have defined the formalism from an XML file. Finally, to carry out my project, I linked Phymul and the solver. This link explains any complex biological properties. The ODE simulation is synchronised with the one of movement described by Phymul. Thus, the interactions between the physical and chemical processes hosted by the object and the dynamic of its movement are integrated. After a validation phase, I set up the first steps towards chemotaxy and haptotaxy modelling.
