Position

I am a CNRS researcher (Chargé de Recherches, section 21), member of the Models and Algorithms for Genomics (MAGe) laboratory in the TIMC Institute in Grenoble, France.

Research Interests

Next Generation Sequencing data analysis. In particular I develop methods for identifying causal variants in exome-seq data of infertile patients.

Smart-pooling (AKA Combinatorial Group Testing) for high-thoughput biology (in particular, yeast-2-hybrid). Follow the link for information and source code related to the Shifted Transversal Design (STD), the interpool software package, and more

Biomolecular interactions in the extracellular matrix: I was involved in the coordination and implementation of the MatrixDB database.

Protein-protein interactions (prediction, identification, networks).

And more generally: various -omics, gene networks...

Journal Club, Lab Meeting, Seminars

I organized the Journal Club / Lab Meeting / Seminars for the BCM team from 2010 to 2018. I'm leaving that seminar webpage as-is for archival purposes, but starting 09/2018 Magali Richard was taking care of the BCM Seminar (thanks Magali!!), and she passed it on to Antoine Frenoy starting 02/2020. Check out the new BCM Seminars webpage for the schedule.

I also set up for a while a working group on NGS Bioinformatics in the Grenoble area (2015-2016, no webpage).

Teaching

Background

1994-1997: computer science engineer, with training from the ENSIMAG.

1997-2001: PhD in Computer Science, at the LSR laboratory in Grenoble and jointly in Marc Vidal's lab (at the time, at Mass. General Hospital, Boston; now at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston).
Title: Conceptual modeling and predictive analysis of protein-protein interactions in Caenorhabditis elegans.

2001-: I obtained a CNRS permanent position (chargé de recherches) in november 2001.
