Real-time segmentation of the mitral valve in echocardiographic images

This project aims at delineating the mitral valve in echocardiographic images sequence in real-time. The proposed methodology is based on the segmentation of the mitral valve in a preoperative image sequence (knowledge base) using active contours. The real-time segmentation is then achieved in the preoperative step with the help of registration procedures and active contours.
